This was weird. To be honest I started this game with the expectation of something more in the 'normal wholesome layer peeled back to reveal horror' vein of Sweet No Death and Doki Doki Literature Club, so I noticed a few things like how they needed blood, presumably human hence the clinic, but they were so unknown. It's almost like these vampires are an outlying group trying to cover up the fact that most vampires don't care about consent and just didn't let any victims leave alive to tell about it. I absolutely wouldn't trust them, and though I may just be overthinking it there is still absolutely something fishy about this Tomato Clinic.

3 hours 45 minutes in and having finished wave 230, I ponder on whether to continue on, or to quit the game. (Corpse cleanup is on, I think it looks better with it off but I needed the frames/non-frozen screen.)

Edit: Left it paused and then had to restart the computer.

I went invisible, jumped down, grabbed the guy in the far left corner, threw him at the guy in the far right corner (at this point he is the guy on the left) while moving towards the guy closest to spawn, then as I neared said last guy I started spamming grab on him. Common mistakes I make while doing this are not being close enough to the first guy to grab him, doing an aerial takedown on accident thus losing my projectile, and not being close enough to the final guy to reach him before I lose.

Edit: Found an alternative route. I went invisible, jumped on the guy in the far left, raced towards the guy in the middle during the fraction of a second between the kill and the enemies noticing me, then closed the rest of the distance and threw him at the remaining guy.

The kick doesn't happen because it goes into slow motion too fast. I've come close with one bullet though.

Edit: Got it with one bullet, though it showed both end messages.

I have beaten all but one level without firing a shot, but I can't find anything to do but shoot on the one where you shoot the glass from under 4 armored guys. Any tips? It's the last one I haven't gotten (without firing).

Buttons are useless if the mouse is moving a screen rather than a cursor. Is there a button already there to get a cursor? That aside it seemed like it would be a good game.

Lot more problems than just the break. Might want to get your gas and steering looked at too.

I just beat the all the demo missions, then went back and beat them with the basic GB-01 and no equipment (except for the sprayer and tag gun in Wildlife Survey).

Is the gun randomly not shooting (even when you have ammo and after waiting a while to make sure it's not reload) a bug, or did you seriously make completely silently jamming a feature? Either way, unplayable. I need to be able to rely on my gun to shoot when and where I click, or have a way to check/unjam it.

The problem was that the rocks were blocking the path to the secret room and required a pickaxe to mine, not that the pickaxe was required when making the purchase for the new one.

Do you have a bug tracker? There are a lot of files missing that I substituted with others that worked to finish the game, and a lot of things that didn't seen to be working properly like Lance in the lightning dragon book having only 1 HP after losing when the book is being reread.

Edit: Also nice endings, I got one where Lance beats me and one where I beat Lance, the latter being my favorite.

The part of Meep Cave F1 that is accessible without a pickaxe, right? I can't find it, I think I have full because it doesn't say demo anywhere as far as I can see.

Edit: Restarted the game, found the hideout, got the pick. You seriously made it so that you can't get the new pickaxe if you break the old one? And you didn't say anything about the old one even being able to break? Please fix.

Where can I get a pickaxe!?!?! None of the shops seem to sell them and the dull pickaxe in the mine broke!

Is there a newer version available where you can actually play multiplayer?

Really? Stupid low sensitivity, no way to change it, and no ESC menu. Edit: I guess I should give it a little leeway for being a game jam game, but there is a reason most get patches after the jam ends.

Oh. Asset pack. I downloaded this thinking it was a game. 🤣

Edit: Beautiful, doubt I'll ever use it though. 5/5 👍

"There is nothing behind you." I'm literally playing with a wall right behind me. Also, who waits until they can click something to turn around? Darwin award for only doing what the computer tells you. Anyways, can we get a first person sequel where we play as the monster or one of the monsters? After all we do appear to have been assimilated.

I just made so many bookmarks...

The medic's expression... 🤣

Forget the missions, the controls are hard. Hopefully we'll be able to change what button does what. Controls out of the way, telling them to get on the ground and firing a warning shot just lets them know I'm there and results in instant death, the shotgunner around the corner is a mission ender, and how is shooting someone coming at me with a gun "Unauthorized use of force"?

Edit: Played again today, and I've been getting shot in the back a lot. Usually by the AI cop.

Are there multiple endings? I want a different one.

For those who didn't take the time to decode the transmissions from the other mech, here's what I got:

You again.
How many times will I be made to watch this farce?
You cannot even understand my words.
Yet I must continue to try.
Turn back.
If you will not turn back, then abandon hope of escape.
It will be less cruel that way.
There is no above to this below.
It is simply an echo of what will come to pass.

Also, that hand looked like it could have been his.

Warning: The goblins have collision, and they WILL box you in. They do not drop enough explosive arrows to deal with a horde, but you'll have hundreds of regular..

Also, it goes to the next round before all the enemies are dead. Is this a glitch?

Found this: https://nightsetup.itch.io/atomic-picnic

Are you going to get it taken down?

Can we have a .zip download?

Love it, hope that character customization is coming soon.

Sorry, my mistake. I thought I had the latest version, but I actually just had an older version. I would really appreciate if you started putting the version in the file name, It's currently hard to tell what version is which, and I've downloaded three files named atomic-picnic-win.zip that are a little hard to tell if one is a fresh download like I think it is or if it is a duplicate of the old version.

Really fun, when I got the new version the issue was fixed. I saw potential in the old version when I first downloaded it, though It wasn't very fun with that glitch. Love the new GUI, hope this continues to develop, great game with even more potential.

Be quiet.

I hope the next update fixes the boot-to-lobby glitch. Forget surviving, you'll never stay in the game for 10 minutes.

The entire game is an April fools feature.

Yeah, right. Yummy coconuts, totally no need to use your gun at all!

It says it's obsolete, do you plan to fix that? I don't have steam on any computers.

Okay, that's nice, but two questions: 1. When will it release? It says 2022 on steam, but that's anywhere between later today and December 31st. 2. Will it be free? I currently can't pay through itch.io

Since this doesn't seem to say "Prologue" anywhere but the dev log, does that mean the full version will be here upon release?

I was playing on 0.20. Also, I can't find the secret level, does it have something to do with the hidden parts, or a hidden exit to a level, or is K-bot city supposed to be secret?

1: That explains a lot. That said, at the start there were some of those weak worm-things, but those eventually disappeared. Somehow I don't think I'll get that far again after the update. Also, I never did quit, I just got bored after playing for literally hundreds of waves, and it was getting very laggy.

2: Yes. There were times both loading enemies (which would sometimes not spawn for a while) and during gameplay that the game would stop responding.

3: Msi gaming laptop with 10th gen core i5 CPU and Nvidia Geforce GTX graphics card. Don't know the exact specs, but I might be able to get them.

EDIT: I just noticed that BETA0.20 is the latest version, so you may want to review that code that makes it progressively harder. Also, with a fully upgraded engineer, I just used the laser sighted crossbow as my main weapon and would whip out the machine gun and/or spam turrets when things got dicey.

In one of the dev notes didn't you say you got to wave 22? I beat wave 220 without cheats or hacks, stage 1, fully upgraded engineer with crazy turrets and extra damage.
